Surge protection is an important element of low-voltage installation safety. Induced surges in wires during atmospheric discharges pose a threat not only to connected devices, but also to other installations and people in the vicinity. Proper design and selection of protective devices, in accordance with norms and standards, is essential for ensuring the reliability and durability of the installation. As part of the training conducted by Mirosław Gondek - a designer of electronic devices - the phenomenon of surges and the causes of damage to modern electronics will be discussed. The construction and principle of operation of individual series of surge protectors from the Ewimar brand will be presented.
