Surge Protection 24V AC / 36V DC Mounted on DIN Rail

SUG-24VAC/DIN, Overvoltage protection for 24V AC or 36V DC power supply lines, protection against overvoltage for power supplies and devices with 24V network transformers

The SUG-24VAC/DIN is designed to protect electronic devices from atmospheric discharges, powered by AC voltage from 24V transformers or DC voltage from 36V.

The ability to transmit up to 5A of current increases the range of applications for the device in many industrial automation installations, building automation, and property protection systems.

The overvoltage protection is designed for mounting on a 35mm DIN rail. High-quality window clamps with high current load limit the risk of damage during large shock impulses or temporary current overloads. The device occupies the width of one standard DIN module.

The product is recommended for installation at the boundary between LPZ0 and LPZ1 zones or higher. It can only be used for transmitting 24V AC 50Hz or 60Hz AC voltage or 36V DC voltage, without a variable component in the form of fast data transmissions. It is connected between the power source (transformer) and the receiving device.

To ensure proper protection against induced overvoltages, it is recommended to use overvoltage protection at both ends of the power line and to properly ground them.
