1-channel surge protector of the Economical series, designed for surge protection of Gigabit Ethernet networks, compatible with the standards 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T, and 10GBASE-T. With an impulse withstand of 100A, it provides effective protection for LAN installations, whose components and wiring are located inside buildings and are distanced from other unprotected installations. It includes direct discharge of surge currents to the ground and elimination of surges induced within pairs of wires. Very carefully designed multilayer printed circuits, a special production process, and modern components have allowed for excellent data transmission parameters.
Independent power protection circuits for PoE eliminate voltage spikes between pairs 1,2 - 3,6 and 4,5 - 7,8. This solution protects the power supplies of end devices from damage due to surges caused by lightning strikes or uncontrolled voltage increases, for example, due to a failure of the PoE power supply. The applied solutions are completely neutral to any PoE standard and protect each of them, including Hi PoE.
PTF-61-ECO/PoE is intended for installation near LAN endpoint devices such as: PC computers, PLC controllers, IPC cameras, radio transmitters, Internet of Things devices. The lack of a housing allows the protector to be placed in very small spaces. Proper grounding of the protection using the PE line is necessary for correct operation, preferably with the shortest possible, dedicated grounding point.

The protection can also be used on the switch side of the LAN, however, in the case of multiple channels, we recommend using multi-channel protections from the PTU-6xx or PTF-6xx series.
