1-channel LAN protection, designed for surge protection of Gigabit Ethernet networks, compatible with the standards 1000Base-T, 1000Base-TX, and 10GBASE-T. It includes direct discharge of large surge loads individually from each wire of the cable, without the often-used intermediary elements that weaken surge resistance and have a significant impact on emitting or absorbing electromagnetic interference. Very carefully designed multilayer printed circuits, a special production process, and modern components have allowed for excellent parameters required in category 6 cabling.

Independent power protection circuits for PoE eliminate voltage rise between pairs 1,2 - 3,6 and 4,5 - 7,8. This solution protects the power supplies of end devices from damage due to surges caused by lightning strikes or uncontrolled voltage increases, for example, due to a failure of the PoE power supply. The applied solutions are completely neutral to any PoE standard and protect each of them, including Hi PoE.

PTF-61-PRO/PoE/T is intended for installation near LAN endpoint devices such as: PC computers, PLC controllers, IPC cameras, radio transmitters, Internet of Things devices. The lack of a housing allows the protector to be placed in very small spaces. For proper operation, it is necessary to properly ground the protection using the PE line, preferably as short as possible, from a dedicated grounding point. It is also important to follow the directional operation of the protective function described in the user manual and not to reverse the connections of the device in the LAN installation, as this may cause improper operation or even damage.

The product is tested according to categories D1, C2, C1, B2. It is intended for use at the boundaries of zones LPZ0/LPZ1 or higher.

The protection can also be used on the switch side of the LAN, but in the case of multiple channels, we recommend using multi-channel protections from the PTU-6xx or PF-6xx series.
