The SUG-12VDC/DIN is designed to protect electronic devices powered by 12V DC from lightning strikes, voltage surges, and sudden increases in voltage that may occur due to damage to the power supply.
The ability to transmit up to 5A of current expands the range of applications for the device to many industrial automation installations, building automation systems, and property protection systems.
The surge protector is designed for mounting on a DIN rail of 35mm. High-quality spring-loaded terminals with a high current load limit reduce the risk of damage during large surge impacts and momentary current overloads. The device occupies the width of one standard DIN module.
The product is designed for installation at the boundary between LPZ0 and LPZ1 zones or higher. It can only be used for transmitting 12V DC voltage without any AC component - for example, for high-speed data transmission. It is connected between the power source (power supply, battery) and the receiving device.

To ensure proper overvoltage protection, it is recommended to use limiters at both ends of the power line and to properly ground them.
