Protocol converter translator Pelco-D to Pelco-P and Pelco-P to Pelco-D

The converter / translator is a microprocessor device, designed to integrate keyboards, recorders, video matrixes and other devices with PTZ cameras operating in the Pelco protocol. It is used in situations where a limited range of baud rates or the lack of a specific Pelco protocol does not allow the camera to be controlled. Apart from changing the protocol and baud rate, the converter can also change the camera address during translation or correct the joystick characteristics. It is installed between control devices and speeddome cameras. When installed in the middle of the distance between the camera and the controller it extends the RS-485 bus length twice.

A modern microcontroller with powerful software ensure fast data processing and very fast reaction to control. It has one input port and two output ports for cameras, with an individually set Pelco protocol and an adjustable baud rate in the range of 1200baud to 115200baud.

It is a series 3 product, fully configurable and updated via USB with Ewimar Upgrader / Configurator software. This allows you to purchase and change the software to another one, which means that the unnecessary converter can be reused in other systems at a low cost. It also has additional software options, introducing advanced real-time translation capabilities - they are activated with license codes.
