Protective panel for ECONOMIAL LAN series, 16 ports with active PoE injection function, designed for 100Mbit LAN networks and for IP-CCTV cameras and systems, mounted in a 19" RACK cabinet, PTF-516R-ECO/InPoE/A.

16-channel surge protective panel designed to 100Mbit LAN networks, protecting PC computers, industrial automation systems and building automation, as well as IP-CCTV installations. It provides protection for data transmission paths and supplies PoE power up to 30W/channel in active mode. The active PSE negotiation system monitors the power supply and power consumption, ensuring full safety of the installation and connected LAN devices. It protects against damage in case of connection errors, wire short circuits or failure to comply with the receiver standard. The product provides PoE power according to IEEE 802.3af/at specification, option A.

PoE transmission takes place on transmission lines 1-2, 3-6, similar to the IEEE standard: 802.3af, option A. Pairs 4-5 and -7-8 are completely disabled inside the device. Built-in PoE power protection protects against power surges or damage to the power supply.

The product can be used with a LAN switch that does not have PoE ports or can be used to increase the number of PoE ports in case of insufficient power or number of PoE ports in the LAN switch. To power each module, a power supply with a voltage of 48-56VDC should be used, providing sufficient power for the powered devices - a recommended power supply should have a power of about 150W.

The effectiveness of surge protection is 100A in an 8/20µs impulse wave on each wire, which is sufficient for most applications inside buildings, where the main cause of damage may be the induction of an electromagnetic impulse in the wires.

The protective panel consists of four PTF-54-ECO/InPoE/A modules, mounted in a PTU/PTF-5-RACK housing.

The panel is equipped with RJ-45 sockets on the protected side and on the unprotected side. This facilitates adaptation to existing systems and speeds up the process of connection and servicing. It can be connected to existing patch panels with LSA (Krone) connectors using RJ-45 patch cords. The optional cover PTU/PTF-5/6-COVER protects against dust and accidental damage to modules, and special holes in the base allow the panel to be mounted on the wall. Signal cables can be mechanically secured against pulling out using cable ties, using holes or protrusions on the back of the panel.

In the case of use in CCTV installations with IP recorders, the panel can be mounted on corner brackets at the back of the Rack cabinet. The benefits of this solution include: more space in the cabinet, convenient access to all connections, and shorter patch cords - IP recorders usually have all connectors at the back.

The best protection efficiency is achieved by using surge protectors at both ends of the LAN cable and proper grounding. Usually, a multi-channel device is used on the LAN switch side, and a 1-channel surge protection is used on the end devices side.
