The SUG-7 / 12VDC is designed to protect 12V DC powered electronic devices from lightning, overvoltages, and sudden power surge that may result from power supply failure. The built-in 1A auto fuse reduces the risk of damage to the power supply and the risk of fire in the event of a short circuit in the wires or the connected equipment.
The protection features removable screw connections for easy installation and service and a cable with DC plug.
It can be used for any electronic device, both for consumer and professional installations. It is connected between the power source (power supply, battery) and the receiving device.

Simplified block diagram
To provide effective protection against lightning, it is recommended to use two protective devices and to change them. Connect one of the devices as close as possible to the power source and the other as close as possible to the receiving device. Make sure the side of the SUG-7 INPUT (LINE) side is always on the side of long wires where the overvoltage.
