Installations are exposed to overvoltages and lightning discharges at various levels, which is why we have created 3 series of protective devices with different effectiveness ECO, PRO, EXT. This allows for flexible and individual selection of products for individual installation points.
ECONOMICAL is a set of economical solutions aimed at protecting installations located in a zone with a low risk of electromagnetic pulse occurrence (LPZ 1...n zone). The ECO series provides effective protection up to 100A per wire (e.g. PTF-51-ECO/PoE). It protects the installation against a sudden increase in voltage one individual pairs of UTP, electrostatic overvoltages and the operation of electronic stun guns.
PROFESSIONAL are solutions that are used in outdoor installations due to the high level of protection. The PRO series has two levels of protection, it is dedicated to installations with a medium risk of electromagnetic pulse occurrence (LPZ0B zone). Thanks to the use of high-class protective components, it is characterized by an efficiency of up to 2.5kA per wire (e.g. PTF-51-PRO/PoE). Carefully designed circuits and low capacitance components have negligible effect on the transmitted signal.
EXTREME is a solution that uses the latest technology in the field of surge protection, it is recommended to protect installations located in the zone with a high risk of electromagnetic pulse (LPZ0A zone). In addition to the typical components used in the PRO series, and the efficiency of 2.5kA per wire (e.g. PTF-51-EXT/PoE), they have an additional degree of protection in the form of super-fast MOSFET fuses with automatic reset. The MOSFET fuse automatically detects the increase in current and cuts off the protected circuit in 1 µs. After the overvoltage is suppressed by the protective elements, the connection is restored immediately.
