What is the difference between PTU and PTF panels?

23-02-2023

Have you ever wondered what is the difference between PTU and PTF panels? Very often, customers ask us about it... Well, the difference lies in the type of input connectors used from the endangered side.

In PTU panels, we use LSA connectors (formerly called KRONE) with additional clamps for the twisted pair shield. A particular advantage of these connectors is the good quality and increased surge strength compared to RJ45 sockets - important for high surge currents - product example: PTU-616R-EXT/PoE

In PTF panels, we use high-quality RJ45 sockets as input connectors with shield continuity. This solution significantly speeds up the connection of the panel to the installation and allows for convenient switching of cabling between the ports of the protector - product example: PTF-616R-EXT/PoE

The high quality of workmanship and the use of dedicated components allows the use of the above-mentioned devices in CCTV installations and Ethernet networks with a bandwidth of 1 Gbps.
