The surge protector is designed to protect against surges and separate the power supply of alarm system detectors. It has 8 protective channels equipped with super fast MOSFET fuses, which disconnect the supply circuit in which the short circuit occurred within 1 uS. This prevents the power supply from being disconnected and other alarm system detectors being turned off by tampering. The short circuit can last indefinitely and after its removal the power supply to the switched off circuit is restored automatically. Built-in surge protection function protects the control panel alarm lines against damage due to lightning surges up to 2kA current.

The protective circuit discharges the surges by grounding line.

The product is made in the form of a module, mounted in a dedicated housing along with other modules that can create a comprehensive protection system for all alarm control panel signals. In order to obtain full surge protection of 8 alarm lines, it should be used in conjunction with the APS-8Zi/1P module.
