APS-2Zo/1P/DIN is a universal surge protector designed for use in various circuits of the alarm system. The use of modern construction with MOSFET fuses allows for the protection of:
- alarm line circuits, single, duplicated, and digital
- busbars for keyboards and expansion modules along with power supply
- signaling circuits, also with their own power supply
It is equipped with two independent protective circuits with an effectiveness of up to 10kA.
Terminals 1-2 are a low-current circuit with a maximum current of up to 200mA with a MOSFET fuse system (control circuit) and the possibility of using a common ground, used for alarm signals, communication bus, or siren control.
Terminals 3-4 are an independent high-current circuit up to 1A (power supply circuit) used to power alarm sensors, modules, or signaling devices (with battery charging).
The ground/shield circuit (S) is separated from the high-current terminals, allowing the use of the protector with the alarm siren, regardless of whether it is controlled by the positive or negative power supply.
Advanced protective stages using a bridge circuit ensure low signal attenuation, which is important for fast data transmission in digital buses.
The protector is a universal device that can be used in alarm systems from various manufacturers and with any detectors installed inside or outside buildings (in additional hermetic enclosures). It is dedicated to protecting detectors that have outputs in the form of NO/NC contacts or addressable transmission lines - 2-wire and 4-wire.
The product has a housing mounted on a DIN rail, and if it needs to be installed outside the building, an additional hermetic enclosure must be used.
To ensure full protection of a long alarm cable, two surge protectors should be used at its ends - the same models or others from the Ewimar offer, depending on the type of signal being transmitted.
