Miniature Surge Protector for LAN Network Protection, PTF-51-ENG/PoE/Micro/T with Heat Shrink Cover

PTF-51-ENG/PoE/Micro/T is a new miniature surge protector that uses the Extreme No Ground solution. It is designed to protect LAN networks where there is a problem with grounding the PE line to individual camera points or other LAN end devices. The device can be used to protect outdoor cameras, but the protection will be limited to eliminating small electromagnetic impulses induced in the LAN cable. It works with 10-BaseT and 100-BaseT LAN networks, based on UTP 5 or 6 category cables.

Its small size and built-in RJ-45 plug allow for easy connection and hiding of the device in small enclosures. It is ideal for protecting IP industrial cameras equipped with original bases that hide accessories and all connections. The protector protects against the effects of surges, lightning strikes, and acts of vandalism (such as stun guns). It individually protects each transmission pair from surges induced within individual pairs and within individual groups of pairs used for PoE power supply.

To achieve full effectiveness of the ENG series surge protector, it is necessary to use the PRO series minimum protector on the other side of the cable (in the 1-channel or multi-channel version) and provide it with proper grounding.

Thanks to the use of MOSFET technology, the PTF-51 protection is 3 times more effective in eliminating surges inside transmission lines and is less susceptible to damage from prolonged surge currents.

A special connection system protects LAN devices from voltage spikes on PoE power lines above 58V, in all possible standards (including those transmitted on transmission lines). Inside the protector, lines 4-5 and 7-8 are connected, as LAN 100Base-T uses them exclusively for PoE power supply.

The device does not provide continuity of the FTP cable shield, if such continuity is required, it is necessary to use standard PTF-51 or PTF-51/DIN devices.
