PTF-51-ECO/PoE/Micro, miniature LAN surge arrester, for LAN switch, IP, camera, NVR, CCTV.

PTF-51-ECO/PoE/Micro v2 is a miniature surge arrester designed to 100-BaseT LAN using 5th or 6th category UTP cables. It has a built-in cable with RJ-45 jack, which allows easy connection. Ideally suited for use with IP cameras in CCTV systems to protect them against surges, lightning, and the use of stun guns. Small dimensions allow installation in camera deep bases or small hermetic housings. It is recommended for surge protection cables and LAN devices installed inside buildings (products with the Ethernet port and LAN Switches). The surge arrester individually protects each pair of data transmissions, eliminating internal surges above 3.5V.

Version 2 has been designed from scratch with protective circuits and housing, to increase the level of surge protection and improve mechanical properties.

Specially designed ciruits protects LAN switches and LAN devices against surges in PoE power supply circuits. This applies to all pairs and most PoE standards. Pairs 4-5 and 7-8 are connected to each other because LAN 100Base-T uses them only to supply PoE.

The device does not ensure the continuation of the FTP cable shield, if such functionality is required, it is necessary to use the standard product PTF-51 or PTF-51/DIN

The ECO version surge arrester is designed for installations in which both LAN devices and the entire cable are located inside the building. It should not be used near unprotected installations entering from outside the building. They can cause a high-voltage spark jump and cause damage. If it is impossible to keep the above conditions, a surge arrester in PRO or EXT version should be used.

To ensure an adequate level of protection, it is necessary to connect the surge arrester to a local ground. You can also use a PE protective line. Do not connect the PTF-51 to the lightning conductor circuits and create a grounding point near the grounding of the lightning conductor circuit.
