1-channel LAN surge protector mounted on DIN rail, designed for surge protection of devices operating in 100Mbit LAN network, such as IP-CCTV cameras, Internet of Things, LAN switches, home and industrial automation. It is compatible with 10Base-T and 100Base-T Ethernet networks, using any type of cabling. Compared to previous series, care has been taken to protect against overvoltages in PoE circuits of any type along with the discharge of charges to the ground. High-quality printed circuits together with tuned differential pairs provide very good transmission parameters and contribute to the elimination of crosstalks that cause unstable LAN operations.
The product is intended for installations in which both connected LAN end devices are inside buildings and no part of the cable passes outside buildings. In the absence of the conditions or the need to increase the level of surge protection, a PRO or EXT series surge arrester must be used.
A special connection circuit also protects against overvoltage devices against voltage increase on PoE power lines in any of the possible standards (also transmitted on transmission lines). Lines 4-5 and 7-8 are interconnected because Ethernet BaseT-100 uses them only to PoE power. The PTF-51-ECO protects both groups of PoE pairs against an increase in voltage above 58V and damage to the power supplies of terminal equipment, such as switches or IP cameras. The power of PoE supplied by the limiter can be up to 60W (compatible with PoE +) - other options available on request.
PTF-51-ECO/PoE/DIN ensures the continuity of the FTP cable shield, but in the ECO series it is not connected to the grounding.
The surge protector is mounted on a 35mm DIN rail and protective circuits are grounded. You should use unpainted DIN rail with grounding that is able to remove shock loads to the ground from all installed surge protectors.
To protect a single LAN cable, two identical devices can be used, mounted on two ends and grounded accordingly. If it is necessary to secure multiple circuits, it is recommended to use a multi-channel surge protector on the LAN switch side and one-channel protector on the end-LAN device side.
