LAN surge protection device in hermetic housing, BOX PTU-51-EXT/PoE

BOX-PTU-51-EXT/PoE/MINI is designed to protect routers, LAN switches, IP cameras, WiFi access points, and other devices operating in 100Mbit networks. It has a protection efficiency of 4-5kA @ 8/20μs individually for each wire (depending on their thickness). It protects LAN end devices installed on poles or metal structures from the effects of lightning strikes, surges, sabotage actions, and potential differences. It effectively eliminates induced surges during discharges within transmission pairs and between PoE power pairs. The grounding wire directs voltage and surge currents to the ground, originating from spark jumps. The built-in MOSFET fuse increases protective effectiveness and reduces equalizing currents between grounding points of the CCTV installation.
It is equipped with a hermetic external housing with sealing glands and LSA connectors for the protected and unprotected side, which have greater connection durability than RJ-45 sockets. Its small size allows it to be used in installations where there is very little space, for example, mounting inside poles.
The product can be used with UTP and FTP cables of categories 5, 5e, 5, and 6a, but in every case, it provides connections with a maximum speed of up to 100Mbit.

It is excellently suited for protecting overhead LAN lines, which are exposed to high values of induced voltages in the wires and high surge currents that can penetrate from metal structures, gutters, masts, etc.

It can be used with other PRO or EXT protections from Ewimar, but to ensure full protection of the overhead line, it is recommended to use two identical devices - one at each end of the cable. This allows balancing the surge resistance of the entire circuit, regardless of the location of the electric charge penetration.

The product is tested according to categories D1, C2, C1, B2. It is intended for use at the boundaries of LPZ0/LPZ1 zones or higher.
