Protects the battery from damage due to excessive discharging. It is equipped with ready-made wires and connectors that facilitate and accelerate assembly.
The vast majority of damage to batteries in security systems is caused by discharging them to a voltage below 10V. This results in a loss of capacity and a very large charging current. The task of the presented module is to cut the battery from the powered devices, if its voltage drops below 10.3V. After disconnecting the battery, the security module is also automatically disconnected without further consumption. The MZ1a module is mounted on a strong self-adhesive tape and has ready-made wires with a length of 30cm with 4.8mm plugs for the battery. There are male connectors on the board for connecting the alarm control panel, buffer power supply or other devices. This shortens the installation time of the device to a maximum of 20 seconds.
