The protocol converter CONV5-C is device, which is design in order to control Sensormatic cameras by using keyboard or DVRs, which are equipped for Pelco-D or Pelco-P protocols. Devices of Sensormatic company used own communication protocols, which makes it impossible to control cameras by devices of other manufacturers. By using the converter possibility is integration Sensormatic cameras with any system of cameras or DVRs.
The converter receiving data by using typical RS-485 interface and special software, which translate data from Pelco-D / Pelco-P to Sensormatic protocol. Data to cameras are sending by using independent interface, which is compatibility with Sensormatic cameras.
The converter is connecting between control devices and Sensormatic cameras. The device don’t used Sensormet bus in camera, but it use incoming interface RS422 (RX+ i RX-). This interface have all Sensormatic cameras.
The protocol converter supports only motion control (without support of PRESET, PATTERN, TOUR, ect. Functions), but it allows to control multiple cameras.
To use all functions of Sensormatic cameras, you should use the CONV-5B, which have 2-way communication and it built-in memory to support PRESET, PATTERN i TOUR functions. The CONV5-B is designed only to one camera.
