1-channel LAN surge protection, designed for Gigabit Ethernet, compatible with 1000Base-T and 1000Base-TX standards. It contains a direct discharge of large surge currents individually from each wire of the LAN cable, without quite often used intermediary elements that reduce the protective effectiveness and have a huge impact on the emission or absorption of electromagnetic interferences. Very carefully designed multilayer PCB with special production process and modern components allowed to obtain the excellent parameters required in 6 category cabling.

Three protection levels using MOSFET technology effectively eliminate overvoltages that penetrate the cabling and introduce an additional separation buffer in the event of high potentials between the LAN switches and individual endpoints. MOSFET technology reduces the level of voltage that reaches the protected device (Up) during a lightning strike. It is not much higher than the rated operating voltage (Un). Obtaining such parameters is impossible when using conventional solutions.

Independent PoE protection circuits eliminate the voltage increase between pairs 1.2 - 3.6 and 4.5 - 7.8. This solution protects power supplies of LAN devices against damage due to overvoltage or unintentional voltage increase - for example as a result of damage to the PoE power supply. The solutions used are completely neutral for PoE regardless of the standard used, including Hi PoE.

PTF-61-EXT / PoE is designed for mounting near LAN endpoints such as: PCs, PLCs, IPC cameras, radio transmitters, IoT devices. It is equipped with a standalone enclosure with the possibility of mounting to the wall. For correct operation, it is necessary to properly ground the protection with the PE line and preferably the shortest possible ground point. It is also necessary to observe the directional operation of the protective function described in the user manual and do not reverse the connections of the device in the LAN system, which may cause its malfunction or even damage.

The PTF-61 can also be used on the LAN switch side, however, for many channels, we recommend the use of PTU-6xx or PF-6xx series multichannel protections.
